Don't be deceived by this teddy bear look, I am a personality plus dog, not just a stuffed animal. My name is Osoon because I am the 5th daughter and the baby of the family.
I am a mature, quiet lady (but NOT old!) who knows how to behave myself in your house. I'm not a silly puppy who piddles on the floor or chews up your slippers or ties you up with the leash. I may look like a teddy bear (is that a bit of Pomeranian in there?) but I cuddle WAY better than any stupid old toy. You know what my favorite thing to do with the human is? Get into her lap, put my paws on her chest, stare into her face with adoration and accept the petting I am due. I don't even get fur all over her black clothing like the other dogs do because I love being brushed, not that I even need it.
I have to be honest, I get along great with other animals, even those weird rodent-things the human has, but I'd like to be a single-pet diva if possible. Also, I'm not that keen on those small, screaming humans. They make me really nervous, trying to poke my eyes and running around making so much noise. I'm a quiet girl, and I prefer a quiet house where I can relax.
I've also been to that mean doctor person and am I very happy I don't need to go back for awhile. I'm "spayed," whatever that is, and have had my shots. I'm also on heartworm preventative pills (yum). I told you, I'm not old, and I'm in good health, so you don't have to worry about that.
Now, I have to be honest. I'm not perfect :( The human is concerned I wasn't well socialized as a baby, and I don't warm up to humans I don't know very quickly. She says this isn't my fault, but it makes me sad and nervous I can't make new friends easily. Sometimes I think new humans are scary! Once I realize they're not scary, I'm fine with them (some treat bribery helps as social lubricant - it's doggie alcohol :D). And when the human has gone out of town, I've gotten used to the petsitters too.
What I really want the most in this world is that human that I can love with all my heart and that will love me back. Is it you?
~*~
The Human here: Osoon has been in foster care for *seven* months now. She's come a long ways from where she was and she just needs a chance. She's such a great leash walker and so pretty people have to stop to compliment. Osoon has also been getting over her fear of strangers and has been willingly approaching people for pats! This is light years away from how she was before when everyone was super scary and out to get her. She's not perfect (at least not in this aspect- I think a lot of things about her are PERFECT - quiet, healthy, cuddly, loyal, well-behaved, etc.) but with the right person who is willing to work with her, she has the potential to be super dog!
She needs someone willing to work past that first shy, rocky few days to see the solid gold underneath!
Plus, you will be endlessly amused trying to describe her "style." Currently she's shed her undercoat and got a bath, so she's a beautiful, sleek chestnut color with buff colored pantaloons on her rearend.
~*~
If you're interested in adding Osoon to your family or have questions about her, please send me an email at [email protected]! This little girl has been waiting a long time to have her own family and home again.

When I first met Osoon she was really scared and it took her a long time to be picked up (not by me). A week later and after a couple treats and a few minutes of sniffing, she jumped into my arms! Literally! She's still timid and takes her time in trusting people, but that's because she doesn't get enough attention from people. I think she felt safe in my arms and would love to have a permanent friend to make her feel that way. With a caring person, Osoon will blossom very quickly.

Osoon decided that she really didn't like the peepad idea. Since she seemed more comfortable today, I let her out of the pen. She went straight to the door and asked to be let out. I was a little leery but she took the harness easily and went potty immediately, despite the rain. I kind of messed up though because I was cold and not wearing a coat, so I took her back inside. She ran to the bathroom and went #2!
I have two screaming kittens, and she's clearly curious, but she's made no move to get into their "home" and she pretty much just ignores the two dogs in the house. She very dearly would like to come on my bed, but she's being a lady about not jumping up without permission. Also, someone trained her to sit to accept petting already!

Osoon got to meet her wonderful volunteer friend for a nice long walk by the river then coffee on the porch. I was a little concerned because the area where I live is really busy and full of drunks and/or students and/or drunk students. A lot of my fosters are really nervous until they get used to the bustle and motorcycles and drunks. Osoon wasn't even worried or scared. She does crack me up because she's a leg hiker (if you've ever seen a female dog do this you'll know why it's so funny).
Really, she's such a sweet, devoted girl and if she has an vices I've yet to find them. I left her out all day today and came home to an untouched house. She likes to sleep in the laundry under the table; I think she feels safe there. She also loves to sleep on my foot or be in my lap. Mostly she just seems to be happy to here.

It's been such a short time but Osoon has slid right into the groove. She spends her days chilling with my dogs, snacking from the communal bowl and lounging on the communal bed. Her worst habit is she likes to jump up and give your legs HUGS. She's such a relaxed dog who loves walks and being loved on. Really, that's all she needs to be happy!

Really good actually. All 3 dogs seem to believe the kittens are some kind of alien spawn to run away from. Mostly they're okay until the kitten touches them. Sissies.

They're properly traumatized, for no reason at all. Danbi is an ex-puppy mill mother and Tokki raised several baby kittens last year. Of the three, Osoon should be the only one like @.@ but she's the calmest. As long as they don't touch her! I think once the kittens start acting less like infants and more like real animals it will be fine.

You know, I was surfing ARK and noticed Osoon, and as soon as I began to read her profile, something in my brain kind of "twinged" - and I thought, "Gee, that sounds a lot like eveliens." Lo and behold, it is! I'm happy that Osoon is with you. :) I hope she finds a great family soon!

We had a guest over (the kitten's new foster mommy!) and I was concerned how Osoon would do. She was perfect. She did a polite greeting without even a bark and then left the guest alone for the rest of the time, content to putter around near my feet. She's also really pleasant with strangers on the street. This is a nice change after Koala and Momo >.< When she's comfortable with you, she's really mild-mannered.

My dog Tokki had knee surgery and is in a pretty stupid looking cast. Osoon was so happy to see her after she had been gone all weekend. I've started calling her Awnee Osoon because she watches out for Tokki like a big sister. This evening she pulled out a chew bone from her crate [I didn't realize she didn't eat it! sneaky!] and laid down next to Tokki to guard her. She didn't growl at either Tokki or myself over the bone, which was good to know. Usually I never let the dogs have chews outside their crates in case of aggression. It just shows how relaxed Osoon has become in a home.

Osoon has slowly been training me. As y'all know, she didn't come housetrained, so sometimes we have cross-communication between us. She comes up to me and whines and sits. I assume she has to go out and get up. She dashes across the apartment to the kitchen and tilts her head up towards the counter then stares at me. Yes, this dog is so smart and spoilt she's figured out how to get me off my butt and into the kitchen. Next she'll be shouting the dog equivalent of 'make me a sandwich!'
Despite this funny little quirk, she's really easy to get along with. We've worked on leash walking to the point where most of the time I can walk her with a pinky finger. She sits politely for most things now without any prompting and goes in her crate when asked with no problems. She's stopped trying to get on my bed with or without me in it too. Plus, she loves my dog and I call her 'big sister Osoon.'
She's such a doll and her skiddishness is fading a little.

Size comparison. She's not a big dog at all! She's also a green-eyed monster about the new foster, haha, and went to great lengths to steal my attention away including but not limited to flipping around on the floor like a fish and jamming herself into my knees.

Osoon went to the vet today for the rest of her shots. She jumped into her travel kennel and didn't cause a fuss the whole time... until she realized where we were! Then she wanted to be picked up! And... she didn't pee on the doctor this time or even take a snap when she got a painful jab to the leg. After it was all done she let the vet tech bribe her with food and then jumped back into the travel kennel on command. It's so awesome dogs have no idea that I take them to the vet... they just think I'm a hero when I allow them to leave :)
Want to be Osoon's hero? It is pretty easy to do with some love and some treats. And once you have her, she'll be yours forever.

Osoon makes it impossible to get a picture of her slightly floppy, curled ears because whenever the camera comes out she's all eyes on me. But since her hair is growing out, she is starting to look like an old fashion teddy bear! The best thing about her hair is she doesn't really shed (like a terrier) but her coat is so soft, not wiry or coarse at all. She likes being brushed but it's completely unnecessary. No shedding, no brushing, but a big, fluffy teddy bear dog!
